Daily Rounds

While not fully biographical, this day-in-the-life map desribes our dog-walking routes in our village of Durham, CT. I designed it to show my mapmaking workshop attendees that hand-rendreed maps don't have to be elaborately painted on canvas to be effective; this one, 12 inches square, is pen-and-ink on paper. Round maps resonate with symbolic value: they convey the sense of a world, as opposed to the world.
