Rainbow Springs Club

Here I mapped a fishing camp, a gorgeous spot in the mountains. I picked up the turkey feather when I visited the property: painting it was pure pleasure. My client gave me the fishing flies he wanted me to depict; I would hold one in my left hand while painting it with my right--a tricky operation. The border design is based on a distrinctive Native American basket-weaving pattern, the directional arrow features and arrowhead from the property, and the inset map is a facsimilie of a WPA map from the 30s. For the map itself, I used a property survey, USGS maps, and a Google sattelite image.
