A few years ago, we hiked this famous Scottish Highlands hiking path, 95 miles from Glasgow to Fort Williams, in one week. I should have water-stained the map for authenticity; it rained nearly every day. For clients, I usually paint sizeable maps on canvas, but my aim here was educational:  this 12” square ink-on-paper map was designed as a model for my mapmaking workshop students.
